Our technical world lives from the drive. Drives in electric cars make very special demands on end-of-line test systems: In the case of quiet electric cars with eDrives, electric motors and their power transmissions, possible production-related inaccuracies cause background noise – with individual components and their interaction. These can be transferred to the interior acoustics and be perceived as significant background noise.

Discom’s acoustic quality control filters out the components and parts on the test bench that are “too loud”. This can be due to a defective acoustic quality due to production errors or assembly errors – for example a defective surface of a gear wheel in the transmission or incorrect winding of the electric motor.
